Endgame

London: Faber, 1964

8vo, pp. 60. Original illustrated stiff paper wrappers. A fine, unread copy.

Faber paperback edition, INSCRIBED BY BETTINA JONIC TO ALAN RICKMAN: 'for Alan, friendship proffered is indeed a golden gift! -- Bettina May '96.'

In the mid-1990s the musician, dramaturge and sometime poet Bettina Jonic worked with Rickman on a reading of Beckett's Stirrings Still and Wilde's De Profundis. (Her Beckett connections were strong, having been married to Beckett's publisher John Calder between 1961 and 1975. Beckett's letters to her are held at Trinity College, Dublin.)

An excellent three-way association.
