London: Macdonald & Co., 1969
8vo, pp. 128. Original black boards, lettered in gilt to spine. Black endpapers. Printed dustwrapper. A fine copy in a near fine dustwrapper with just a little wear to spine ends.
First edition, INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR TO ALAN WHICKER: 'Alan Whicker Salut! Constantine Fitzgibbon'. One of the Macdonald Library of the Twentieth Century series.
The broadcaster and journalist Alan Whicker joined the BBC in 1957 and was sent to Northern Ireland to make a series of reports there. Following complaints from Stormont following transmission of the less than flattering first instalment, the rest were never shown.
