Although book orders will continue to be processed over the Christmas period, books ordered after 2pm on Friday 19 December will not be posted until Monday 29 December. Happy Holidays!
Small 8vo, pp. 62. Original yellow boards, lettered in gilt on spine. A fine, unread copy in an all but fine dustwrapper with just the lightest of bumping to head of spine.
First trade edition. A signed limited edition of 175 copies was issued simultaneously.
An extremely nice example of a collection of poems from the seven years preceding the book's publication.
Single sheet broadside, 11.5" x 8" approx., printed on one side only.
First edition.
This scarce broadside was privately published from Betjeman's London home (the address of which appears at top right), and appears to have been issued as part of the fundraising campaign for the church which was launched in 1977.
Betjeman's frail and shaky signature at the foot of the poem is a facsimile - all copies we have seen are identical. The limitation is unknown but, given its very low survival rate, is presumed to be small.
