Small 8vo, pp. 90, 4pp. publisher's advertisements bound in at rear. Pale green stiff paper wrappers, lettered in black to front panel and spine. Spine darkened, slight loss of colour to leading edge of front panel, but a very good copy with an unbroken spine.

First edition thus, printed for the play's producer from the sheets of the first edition published the same year.

Based on the notorious Leopold and Loeb case this, Hamilton's first play, was filmed by Alfred Hitchcock in 1949 starring James Stewart. As well as the text of the play, this edition also carries Hamilton's Preface on Thrillers from the first edition.
