WODEHOUSE, P.G.

Cosmopolitan

New York: International Magazine Company, 1922

Magazine format, pp. 168. Original illustrated paper wrappers. Top edge of front wrapper detaching from spine, but a complete copy in very good condition.

One of Wodehouse's most famous short stories, and much anthologised, The Great Sermon Handicap first appeared in book form in the collection of stories published as The Inimitable Jeeves [London: Herbert Jenkins: 1923] and as simply Jeeves [New York: George H. Doran: 1923]. Prior to publication the book was serialised in The Strand in the UK and Cosmopolitan in the US, and such was the story's popularity that it was published separately as a small pocket book in 1933.

A scarce survivor.
