[pseud. McALMON, Robert] SCULLY, Robert

A Scarlet Pansy First Edition

New York: William Faro, 1932

8vo, pp. 370. Original red boards, with the spine label perfectly preserved. Red and black frontispiece and title-page. The slightest bumping at spine ends, otherwise a very fine copy, tight and bright, lacking the dustwrapper (which we have never seen but which is presumed to exist).

First edition.

A lost gay classic, extremely rare and in fine condition, now known to have been written by Robert McAlmon, Ernest Hemingway's first publisher and one of the guiding lights of 1920s literary Paris. Important, gorgeous, and absolutely unfindable -- except here.
