GALTON, Ray and SIMPSON, Alan

The Spy With a Cold Nose

London: N.p., N.d. [1966]

Typed screenplay, 139pp., bound in blue stiff paper wrappers secured with two split pins to left edge. White title label to front wrapper, 'No. 10. SPARE' typed to centre. Wrappers a little marked and scratched, but a well preserved copy.

Second draft screenplay for the 1967 film starring Laurence Harvey, Daliah Lavi, directed by Daniel Petrie.

Spy spoof involving a canine agent sent to infiltrate the Russian government, featuring Galton and Simpson stalwarts Lionel Jeffries, Eric Sykes and June Whitfield. An unannotated copy from the collection of the writers, but one which was close enough to production to regular updates: the pages are a variety of colours, showing where multiple rewrites have been inserted.
